Matthew 5:4
Have you ever felt completely abandoned and alone in your sorrow? Hagar, a servant of Sarah, was cast out into the wilderness with her son, Ishmael. Alone and desperate, she feared for their survival. In her anguish, she cried out, and God responded. How often do we forget that God hears our cries too? Hagar's story shows us that even in our most desperate moments, God is present, providing comfort and hope. God sent an angel to Hagar, reassuring her that she was not forgotten. What does it mean to you to know that God sees and hears your pain? This promise is for all who mourn: we are never alone. Just as God provided a well of water for Hagar and Ishmael, He provides for our needs in ways we might not expect. Take a moment to reflect on your life. Where do you need God's comfort today? How can you lean on Him to transform your sorrow into hope? Remember, God’s comfort is always near, waiting to turn your mourning into joy.
