Acts 20:35
Do you see Jesus as weak or strong? Your view of Him reflects how you see yourself. If you see Jesus as a victim, you might feel like a victim, too. But if you see Him as a conqueror, you'll feel confident in your ability to overcome any trial. Today, we're journeying from the Passover to Jesus' arrest. We'll see his tender moments with His disciples and His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Passover symbolizes God's deliverance from slavery in Egypt. Jesus, the Passover Lamb, offers a new deliverance from sin. He washes the disciples' feet, showing the power of serving others. During the meal, Jesus shares bread and wine, symbols of his body and blood. This represents a new covenant, inviting us to a grace-based relationship with God. Now, in the garden, notice Jesus' strength. He faces evil head-on, willingly laying down His life. He's not a victim but the victor over evil. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross conquers evil, showing His sovereignty.
