Matthew 8:3
Have you ever felt cast out or isolated? Joachim, a leper, lived on the fringes of society, shunned due to his condition. Yet, his faith remained strong. When he heard about Jesus, he saw a chance for healing and reintegration. Courageously, he approached Jesus, asking to be made clean despite societal norms. Would you have the courage to approach Jesus? Jesus, moved by Joachim’s faith, reached out and touched him, breaking societal barriers and showing that no one is beyond God’s love. His touch healed Joachim’s body and restored his place in society. How do you respond to the marginalized? This story reminds us of faith and compassion. It challenges us to reach out to those society casts aside and see them as Jesus does. Reflect this week on how you can be a beacon of hope and healing. Extend kindness to those who feel isolated, and pray for the courage to be a vessel of God's love.
