Psalm 118:22-23
God invites us to work with Him. But will we be too proud to say yes? Do we just want everything for ourselves? This story, called the Wicked Tenants, is like a wake-up call for some religious leaders. Jesus is telling them they're making big mistakes. A landowner sets up a vineyard, trusting the tenants to take care of it. But instead of doing their job, they hurt the owner's servants and even kill his son! It's a picture of how people reject God's love and messengers. The tenants' plan to take the inheritance shows they don't get how God's kingdom works. It's about working together, not grabbing things for ourselves. Jesus asks what the landowner will do to those tenants. It's a warning for us to think about how we treat what God gives us. Are we grateful stewards or selfish owners?
