Acts 9:18
The story of Saul’s transformation is a profound example of the power of Jesus’ love and grace. As Saul traveled to Damascus with the intent to persecute more Christians, he was suddenly surrounded by a blinding light and heard Jesus’ voice asking, “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” This encounter left Saul blind and deeply humbled. For three days, he fasted and awaited further direction. God then sent Ananias, a devout disciple, to lay hands on Saul so he might receive his sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He was baptized and began his transformation into Paul, a powerful proponent of the faith. This second part of Saul’s journey highlights the limitless reach of God’s grace and the potential for profound change in each of our lives.
